But can a name do more than this? Can a name reach into the past and change it? Can a name run ahead of us into the future, charting a new course with a new destination? Can one’s name transform the way we look at the present with all its good, bad, and in between?

Names are powerful. But there’s only one name that can do all of that. The Apostle John introduces us to that name in this week's message – and shows us how great God’s love is that gives us such a name, child of God, in Jesus.
