We all like to believe we're free - free to make our own choices, free to follow our own desires. But what if you were actually ruled by your desires?

In John 8:31-36, Jesus Christ reveals the true nature of what human beings call liberty - and it's not pretty. But thankfully there's a greater truth than this - and it has the power to set people, to set you, free.

Who's Ascension?

Ascension is a small but growing church. We come in all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds. We love and support one another as a family. And we're just like you: sinners in need of a Savior.

We come together every week to praise God for his gift of Jesus, to encourage each other, and to serve.

We'd love for you to be our guest at our next event or Sunday morning gathering!

Why do we worship? There are many reasons why Christians gather together in worship, but the most important is simply this: At worship, God serves us.

That might sound upside down, but it's the wonderful truth. In his Word, God comes to us with peace, forgiveness, and true life through Jesus Christ.

Pastor Ben Berger and his wife Becca moved to Harrisburg in July 2019. They love exploring the area and getting to know people over coffee. Pastor Ben is into technology and Becca loves reading and a good chick-flick.
