Christ Calls Us to Disciple Our Interactions
Pastor Ben Berger - 4/3/2022
For many people, there is a disconnect between one's online persona and oneself - a sort of digital Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. For example, though we may appear humble in person, it's easy to become self-absorbed on social media with our filtered photos and curated content. Or, while we might be courteous to contrary viewpoints in-person, it's easy to be the opposite online - reducing people to their posts and tweets and shares, as if they’re not so much real people worthy of our respect as they are merely disembodied voices.
There’s something about the power to promote ourselves or spout off online that can easily draw us in. But that's not who Christ has called us to be. The Christian is a disciple of Christ, offline and online, and Christ therefore calls us to disciple also our digital interactions as we carry out his commission to make disciples.
