God will at times work through us to patiently, gently, and lovingly break down barriers of sin, and that can be a hard task to carry out. Whether it’s because we’re focusing on ourselves or focusing on our fear, we can be tempted to step back. Yet your God assures you today: it’s him, not you, at work. It’s his message, not your speaking, that changes hearts. It’s his words that tear down, and especially build up, that matter. Like Jeremiah, the LORD has put his words on your lips too.
